Whether you're looking to buy your discount wedding decorations, or just looking for ideas you’ve come to the right place!
In this section I have brought together a selection of decorations from online suppliers which will hopefully save you time, and more importantly, money.
Decorating the wedding reception is probably one of the main things that springs to mind, particularly the area where your guests and wedding party will be seated. It’s easy to get carried away with decorations and see costs snowball.
Wedding reception decoration can be as simple as elegant candelabras on the table and some table confetti, or you can go to town with elaborate fairy light curtains, colour co-ordinated chair covers, and multiple floral arrangements. As always, if you’re looking to keep costs down, the simpler option is usually cheaper (and can be just as effective).
Spend your money wisely on one or two key aspects, for example if your heart is set on chair covers, why not compensate by making your own table centre-pieces or have fewer floral arrangements? If you’re really keen to avoid over-spending on your wedding reception decorations, why not try the DIY route?
Put your thinking cap on and embrace your inner Blue Peter presenter! DIY wedding decorations don’t have to be complicated. There are so many craft materials available online that the sky’s the limit when it comes to DIY wedding decorations. You don’t need to be an artist to make place cards or a table plan. I made ours and I’m no van Gogh!
The rustic, village-fete style that’s so popular right now really lends itself to home-made decorations, e.g. jam-pot flower posies or a tarted-up terracotta flower pot as a holder for a pillar candle. Also, check out charity shops for gems such as old tea sets—cups and saucers also make cute holders for floral posies. These are just a few ideas, I’m sure you’ll have some great ones of your own!
