Finding Cheap Wedding Accessories

Finding cheap wedding accessories that look expensive is a great way of getting the up-market look without breaking the bank.

The good news is, with a little know how it's pretty straight forward to do.

First things first, don't try to choose your discount wedding accessories before you've decided on your dress. The same goes for your cheap bridesmaid dresses. By this stage you also probably have a good idea of what hairstyle you want. Your choice of hairstyle will determine your choice of hairstyle accessories.

It gets tricky if you've your heart set on a particular tiara, but you’re not sure it will work with your hair style. Which comes first? The hairstyle or the hair accessories (talk about the chicken and the egg!).

Look to see how the models in the magazines are wearing their hair with similar accessories – show the picture to your hairdresser who’ll be able to tell you if the style would suit your hair.

The main bridal accessories you'll need:

1. Shoes – these need to be comfortable as you'll all be on your feet for a long time. They can also be used to even out the bridesmaids’ heights for the photos. Also remember that if you or your bridesmaids’ are wearing a full length dress, the shoes will not be on show. So is it worth spending a lot of money on them?
   
   You can make big savings by buying from an online supplier. Just check their returns policy carefully as the sizing can be a little different from high street stores. Speaking of which, many high street stores now stock bridal ranges at a lot less than the specialist bridal shops.
   
   
2. Underwear - you'll want to make sure that your gorgeous wedding and bridesmaid dresses are not spoilt by ill-fitting underwear. Smooth silhouettes are the order of the day, so opt for seam-free, non-lacy underwear which won’t be seen.
   
   
3. Jewellery – this provides the finishing touch to your and your bridesmaids’ look and will need to suit the individual’s features. Remember less is more.
   
   
4. Tiara & Veil - tiaras are available in hundreds of different styles on the high street and online, or you could make it yourself. Choosing your veil can be more complicated as this is an area where there's a huge variation in styles, lengths and prices so check out my simple to follow guide.
